Boot Care Guide

SHOW YOUR Work BOOTS  SOME TLC!

Treat your KAMU® boots well! Not only will they last longer, they will also fit better and provide greater comfort.
Also, improper use and and using wrong cleaning methods may void any manufacturer's warranties.

Storing your KAMU® boots

  1. Store boots in a well-ventilated, cool place away from direct sunlight.
  2. Wear them twice a month if not in regular use.
  3. Avoid dark and humid storage.

General tips for proper boot care

  • Apply correct leather care agent for the type of leather.
  • Use leather conditioner and/or renovating polish regularly.
  • Clean daily: remove debris, wipe or use a soft brush.
  • Always air and dry boots properly, best at room temperature. Never dry boots by a fire or heater. Stuff with paper to faster remove any excess moisture.
  • Avoid chemical contamination; clean immediately if exposed.
  • Choose clean socks daily. Most bamboo or merino socks are antibacterial.
  • Wash and dry the OrthoLite® insoles if soiled.
  • Regularly check stitching, zippers and treads for damage.
  • Replace any frayed laces.

Cleaning the Sole

  • Remove debris from soles before using any water.
  • Use a stiff nylon brush for the tread.
  • Clean with a mild soap and warm water without submerging the upper.
  • Wipe with a damp cloth.
  • Allow natural drying.
