We all know that with safety boots, comfort counts above all. Why? Because nothing drains your energy quite like working in discomfort.
The higher our energy level, the better we feel. That’s why at KAMU® we work hard to create work boots that help us retain our energy.
And, your energy is the story behind our brand name KAMU® - which simply translates to 'You' in Indonesian. Because you are nothing but energy. You are the energy that makes great work happen.
It’s only natural that we want to save our energy for things that matter most to us. Doing a great job – sure. But after a day's hard work we want to feel just as high-powered for our passions, our mates, our families and our communities.
The trick to succeeding is finding something you care passionately about and striving to do it better than anyone else.
For 50 years, three generations of our family business have done exactly that. We have put our energy, hearts and minds into pushing the limits with top-performing personal protective equipment specifically designed to keep people in the most gruelling conditions across Asia Pacific safe at work.
We, three sisters of the youngest generation, have founded the KAMU® brand with the strong belief the Australian and New Zealand workforce deserve safety boots with an entirely new approach.
Our passion has since grown with our business: our focus is not merely on protecting you with PPE in the best possible ways. We also want to inspire you to work always focused and less tired, with safety products that make your day flow with more ease. Because, let’s face it: work can be mighty hard. It's not easy to keep up your energy from nine to five, and have have something left in the tank after work.
It's easy: Fight fatigue, stay safe, because your life after your shift matters!
We have rolled up our sleeves and designed a range of work boots packed with anti-fatigue technologies that have been perfected for premium performance.
KAMU® work boots will give you fabulous protection. And, what is more, they will also help you stay comfy, drier, fresher and energised for longer.
We are truly proud to be behind Australia's anti-fatigue work boot and trust that with KAMU® you will have found your game-changer!
A good safety boot might seem like a simple thing: a solid steel-cap, tough leather, a comfy yet sturdy sole.
We thought: We can do better! So, our team of local and international designers and footwear engineers have upped the ante and spent some considerable time perfecting the award-winning KAMU® safety boot range.
It all started with an unconventional challenge: what if your boots did some of the work?
First, we went to the streets and listened to you. Your wants, your needs, your yeahs, your nays. We looked into your job demands. Are you heavy-weight lifting? Kneeling in the tightest corners on the rig? Putting the pedal to the metal all day long? We dug deep into the various must-have specs and nice-to-have features.
Then, there was the fit. We listened and learned that most Australians prefer wider safety boots. For your work boots to go the distance, we had to consider everything that impacts the fit. The perfect safety footwear will always provide cradling support on the heel, ankle and arch, and still give your foot enough wiggle room.
We challenged how the soles are layered, how each seam is stitched, at what angle the zipper runs, and how the laces are tied. And we wanted to give you all that at the lowest possible weight. For that, we brought in new construction techniques and fantastic materials that stack some serious performance onto the good old leather.
Last but not least, our protective footwear should also look the part. We’ve come up with a sleek design that will set you apart from the pack. See for yourself, explore the range !
All of our safety boots comply with Australian Safety Footwear Standard AS2210.3:2019, International and European Safety Footwear Certification EN-ISO 20345:2011, American Safety Footwear Certification ASTM F2413-18. KAMU® footwear is also certified to exceed SRC standards for oil and slip resistance.
